Weight Loosing Surgery includes;Stomach Surgery
The Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy – often called the sleeve – is performed by removing approximately 80 percent of the stomach. The remaining stomach is a tubular pouch that resembles a banana.
The Adjustable Gastric Band – often called the band – involves an inflatable band that is placed around the upper portion of the stomach, creating a small stomach pouch above the band, and the rest of the stomach below the band.
The gastric balloon procedure (endoscopic intragastric balloon) leaves 1 to 3 inflated silicon balloons in the stomach for 6 months, making less room for food. As a result, patients:
• Feel full sooner while eating and therefore eat less
• Lose about 30% of their excess weight in 6 months
• Have health improvement for diabetes, joint/bone disease, and heart-related issues
What is body contouring?
Surgical body contouring following major weight loss removes excess sagging skin and fat while improving the shape of the underlying support tissue. The result is a better-proportioned appearance with smoother contours. Dramatic weight loss has many benefits. But after any substantial amount of weight loss due to weight loss surgery and/or lifestyle changes, the skin and tissues often lack the elasticity to conform to the reduced body size.
What is a body lift?
A body lift improves the shape and tone of the underlying tissue that supports skin and fat. Excess sagging skin and fat are removed and the procedure(s) can improve a dimpled, irregular skin surface.
A body lift may include these areas
Abdominal area (Abdominoplasty / Tummy Tuck)
- locally or extending around the sides and into the lower back area Buttocks Thigh - the inner, outer or posterior thigh, or the thigh's circumference Aging, sun damage, pregnancy, significant fluctuations in weight and genetic factors may contribute to poor tissue elasticity that can result in sagging of the abdomen, buttocks and thighs.
